Description

Matcha is known to be the finest green tea in the world. Shade-grown (to enhance chlorophyll content) and hand-picked, it is made from the finest whole tea leaves. After stems and veins have been removed, the leaves are carefully stone ground on artisanal granite mills to produce a very fine (5-10 microns) powder which means you are consuming the entire leaf when drinking Matcha.

TeAROMA Organic Match Powder is produced in Nishio, Aichi, which is one of the best Japanese matcha producing regions. This area produces 60% of the matcha grown in Japan with its fertile soil and elevation. The matcha produced in Nishio has the characteristics of lower astringency then other types of matcha, as well as a stronger umami flavors. Ceremonial grade matcha is the highest quality grade of matcha and tends to be slightly more subtle and nuanced than culinary grade, and is best to consume on its own.
